Three BYU students placed 11th in the International Collegiate Programming Contest world finals competing against elite schools from around the world. Armed with a single computer and five hours to solve 12 complex programming problems, Lawry Sorenson, Thomas Draper, and Teikn Smith vied for the title of the world’s finest programmers. Thanks in part to donor funding and excellent mentored learning, the three gained valuable experience and represented BYU well at the event in Luxor, Egypt.
